Australia China Entrepreneurs Dialogue
Build the Davos Forum between Australia and China
A Strategic Platform That Supports Australia – China Coss-border Transactions
Australia China Entrepreneurs Dialogue, since its inception in 2013, has been holding annual flagship forums in Melbourne. Hean Ma, Chair of Asian Pacific Law Forum at the time, found that Chinese investment in Australia encountered serious obstacles. Information and cultural asymmetry caused problems to cross-border exchange between the two countries.
He invited well-known scholars from his alma mater Tsinghua and Monash universities, enterprises of Fortune 500 including CBRE, BRW Rich 200, and Chinese investors in Australia to discuss how to identify investment opportunities and overcome cultural differences between China and Australasia.
By 2016 Australia China Entrepreneurs Dialogue has developed into one of the few organisations dedicated to fostering Australia-China trade and investment that has received support from the Federal government (Australian Trade Commission). It is also one of the few partners of the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO). It enjoys distinct honours and a good reputation in the Australian society for having created endless successes in cooperation by entrepreneurs and investors of both countries.
Australia China Entrepreneurs Dialogue has its unique characteristics. First, it highlights innovation. Second, it focuses on bringing about cooperation on projects. Apart from the annual forums, Australia China Entrepreneurs Dialogue also arrange in Sydney and other cities various themed events including Solar Energy, Health Australia, Commercial Real Estate and Agri-Food Innovations summits.
